Overall great value for the money you're going to spend. There are a few cons being that the back seat doesn't have a lot of leg room, and the transmission is a bit touchy, seems to always be idling to try to find the right gear to get the best mileage and take off is a bit slow. Pros for the car are its sleek design, the sync technology is awesome, but hard to get to know how to use. The hatchback is great for cargo space and the gas mileage is awesome.
it's a Bottle Rocket!

So most people can't tell this car from a PT Cruiser. But most people can't tell a new Corvette from a Ferrari. Most people are pretty dim when it comes to cars, as evident in many of the reviews you'll read on here.
I'm coming off of a 2006 Audi S4 who's engine was a ticking time bomb. Great fun, very fast car, but ten year old German performance cars are not known for their reliability.
But I digress. It's saying something for the Focus ST that I am having just as much fun, if not more, than I was in the S4. This thing is like a go kart on a canyon road, while being practical for a family man. This car is universally loved by the automotive press.
Economic but Troublesome
2014 Ford FocusGeorge Korakas - Las Vegas, NV05/02/2016
The car gets roughly 28mpg in the city and 40-50mpg highway doing better the longer you travel. The engine is made for Manual transmission so BEWARE, all small economic 2 liter engine cars have problems with transmission and are not strong engines. This car DOES NOT have a lot of power or torque. If you want an economical car to go to work to and back, this is a great choice.
