Transmission: Automatic Color:Blue Interior Color: Tan Average Vehicle Review: (0 reviews) This 2005 model is still in good shape for its age/milage and has taken me on one cross-country trip already without issues. Yes, acceleration has the same lag issues as most cars aimed at the basic commuter market, but it gets you onto the highway handily enough once it gets going.

Transmission: Automatic Color:Blue Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (3.667 reviews) Do not buy the focus with the "automatic transmission". It's not a true automatic, it's actually a manual transmission that shifts itself. However it's a flawed design and very problematic. The clutches slip, it will shake the front end of the car during acceleration, and make loud grinding noises during shifts sometimes. Ford has no 100% solution to solving these issues, they start by reprogramming the transmission computer but that doesn't help, then they will order a new clutch pack for it but that takes twelve weeks to arrive and still is not a 100% fix. If you want a focus, buy the true manual version of the car. The engine is great, pretty strong and fuel efficient. The ford sync works pretty decent.

Transmission: Automatic Color:Blue Interior Color: Gray Average Vehicle Review: (3.842 reviews) The pros of this car are 40+mpg, great styling, more than ample room for two adults traveling, very comfortable ride and handling for a light suspension vehicle. The cons, other than no light in the glove box, none. Originally bought for to and from work vehicle, since then have taking two 3000-4000 trips in it with absolutely no complaints. The fuel savings will literally pay for this car. Have had many compliments on vehicle as a whole. Ford Focus, you are a keeper

Good basic car so far

This 2005 model is still in good shape for its age/milage and has taken me on one cross-country trip already without issues. Yes, acceleration has the same lag issues as most cars aimed at the basic commuter market, but it gets you onto the highway handily enough once it gets going.
