I know FORD has discontinued the FreeStar. I have highly rated it so I just can not understand that corporate decision to stop making the minivan. The Freestar offers a place for up to seven passengers, it features an electronically controlled 4-speed automatic transmission as the part of standard equipment.
.Predecessor: Ford Windstar (minivan)
Successor: Ford Fairlane The Ford Fairlane concept is a six-passenger..
The 7 passenger FreeStar serves me best.
LIKE A DREAM!!!!

We LOVE our van! We fell in love at first sight. Within 2 hours of purchasing it, we loaded up and went on a road trip. It handles so smoothly (it was storming, then the wind picked up). You couldn't even feel the van shift gears! The a/c & heater work great, the stereo was lots of fun and the kids loved having their own space on the trip! Lots of storage nooks/crannies throughout. The van really does handle like a car. SOOOO SMOOTH!!! Beautiful and dependable!!!!!!
So far so good

We bought our Freestar used in March of 2008. It has had about 10,000 miles put on it since we bought it and there have been no major issues to speak of. As a matter of fact, the only issue that has come up is sometimes the blower for the a/c takes a few minutes to blow out of the correct vents.
The Freestar is very comfortable and drives very smoothly. The fuel economy could certainly be better. I get about 15/21 mpg.
Overall, if I had it to do over again, I would by this vehicle again.
