I average 47 to 56 miles per gallon in town driving and 38 to 45 on the highway. I do put the premium gas in it so it cost around 35 to 40 dollars to fill it. But it does get better gas milage with the premium gas. Do not use high ethanol gas. I have nothing negative to say about this car. When I get another car it will be another fusion hybrid.

In those 6 years, I have not had to replace brake pads. Almost all of the original pad is remaining - the Regenerative Braking is THAT good! We have averaged 42.8 mpg combined in the summer months, and 38.5 mpg in the winter. There has been one significant repair ($1000) to an instrument display due to an electrical short at a loose connection, and a lesser repair to a fan controller ($300). Otherwise, this is one of the best vehicle purchases I have ever made!

I had pretty much narrowed it down between the Fusion and the Prius, both getting excellent reviews and feedback from their owners. I tested the Fusion hybrid first and was impressed with it's sporty interior and handeling; not to mention the Sync System. I drove the Prius next. It was a no brainer from the moment I pulled onto the road. The Fusion had much better handling and a much more tight and stable feel. (The Prius seemed top-heavy.) If you are wavering between two or more vehicles. I would recommend going to a Carmax because chances are, they will have whatever you are considering and you can compare them side by side and it makes it a much easier decision. I've had my Fusion hybrid a little over a month and I can't be happier!
