My wife and I were originally wanting a Civic hybrid to replace her 1999 Civic. However, after test driving both the Civic hybrid and the Fusion hybrid there was no comparison. Ford hit a home run with this car. The interior is very comfortable and we both find the computer interface to be intuitive and easy to navigate for a couple of millennials. The electric motor is silent and the interior is quiet even at highway speed. The bluetooth phone connection is great both for conversations and streaming music. I have a 55 mile a day commute and the ability to hold conference calls while driving has greatly increased my productivity. The gasoline engine is small but powerful and I have no trouble in the passing lane.
Having driven the car brand new off the lot, I've put many miles on the vehicle over the last 6 years. Overall, it has required virtually no maintenance, and I love that the hybrid only requires an oil change every 10,000 miles! I've averaged 41.8 mpg combined highway/city during that time (with about 39.6 mpg with the winter fuel blend), and the CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) has been a pleasure to use. Between efficiency and comfort, I'd give this car high marks!
This car is wonderful. Looks and feels like a luxury car. Awesome on gas milage. I average 47 to 56 miles per gallon in town driving and 38 to 45 on the highway. I do put the premium gas in it so it cost around 35 to 40 dollars to fill it. But it does get better gas milage with the premium gas. Do not use high ethanol gas. I have nothing negative to say about this car. When I get another car it will be another fusion hybrid.
