Smooth, quiet and fun to drive
I've had the car for almost 2 months now. This car is actually quieter than my wife's 04 Lexus RX330. My only real complaint thus far about the car is the lack of road feel. I have no idea how fast I'm going. 60 mph feels like 40 mph. Because of this, I use cruise control a lot. But, I get great mileage driving mostly around town. I've yet to get less than 22 mpg, with 80% city driving. I'm not in stop and go. It's backroads, where the speed limit is 40-45. Very few red lights. The shaker sound system sounds amazing. A little too much bass for my taste, but I can turn it down. Sync is nice, too. But I can't get my phone to pair with the car (Galaxy Nexus), so your mileage may vary. Fit and finish on the car is great. Panels have small gaps, and line up nicely. The interior panels that you touch are soft, with the exception of the door panels, which are hard plastic. Everything feels well put together. This car is quick, but I wish it was the V8!
2011 Mustang 5.0
There was a lot of hype in the Mustang world leading up to the introduction of the "new" 5.0 GT in 2011 -- and after having driven this car, I was not disappointed. Ford has really stepped up its quality in recent years, and it's especially apparent in this virtually "luxury" model Mustang. Don't get me wrong, it's built for performance. But there's nothing wrong with performance wrapped in comfort & style! With all the creature comforts (Sirius satellite radio, heated seats, reverse camera, ...) comes a little bit of a higher price tag than I'm used to seeing on a Mustang -- but I was happy to pay a small premium for this beautiful car. My only semi-complaint so far is Ford's use of inexpensive stock speakers (mine has the Shaker 500, no subwoofer); but that's easily remedied, and I don't fault them for cutting some corners inside, since most of the engineering went into the 5.0L, 412 HP power plant under the hood. I highly recommend this car!!
Muscle for All
This 2011 Mustang GT is perhaps one of the best produced by Ford in many years. The premium package includes the SYNC software by Microsoft, wonderful for hands-free control, and coupled with a smart phone is brighter then most politicians. With a cold air intake and Rouch pipes to diminish back-pressure, it is easy to stay within speed limits in 4th. at less than 2k revs. However do not be fooled by the 15~16 milage to be had in town, this could only be true if no traffic lighs were encounted, and you were to travel in netural down hill, realistically, 12 MPG. or even less. Having said that, what a BLAST.
