Rangers are very durable and seem to run forever. I purchased this Ranger because I was rear-ended in my previous 06 Ranger, at 40 MPH that totaled it but completely totaled a brand new Mustang GT that hit me. That car could not be driven, my Ranger was able to not only start ('cause impact drove me into the car in front of me) but was driveable onto the tow truck. Rangers are also tough trucks.

I drive a 2001 Flex Fuel 3.0 liter 2WD XLT and love it. I have over 145,000 miles on it and its still running great. I have had 1500lbs. in the bed and pulling 2000lbs. on a trailer all at the same time. I don't recommend it but it did an amazing job. The truck doesn't drive that well when there's snow on the ground so I add weight in the winter. The maintenance has been very low over all. The 3.0 liter has enough power to pass on highways and has good fuel mileage. I range between 17 mpg with E-85 and 20 mpg with normal unleaded gas. Rangers are great trucks!
