This vehicle makes for an excellent commuter car. MPGs are competitive, Stick shift makes driving fun. This most definitely isn't the family car. Cargo? Sure. Engine's too small for serious jobs, but it'll handle most household needs. Passengers? You only get two, and it's not very comfortable. Performance? Lacking, unless you want to rev high. Fun? Absolutely. You really feel the road in this truck. Between this and the manual trans, my commute is rather interesting these days.
Love to drive my little red Ranger

If you want a small truck, it's the perfect size. It's not too high off the ground, it gets OK mileage, it's got good pickup and cruises nicely on the highway. Great truck if you're not doing heavy hauling.
Not so bad

This is a great little truck. It is better to get an I-4 engine and try to save money on gasoline. I wish the supercab option was not so expensive. Even though the sticker says 3 people can fit, it is comfortable only with two. If you have a manual transmission, you will have to shift the stick shift between the middle passenger's legs. A child's seat or booster seat can only be used in the right passenger seat, not the middle. This is because the middle section does not have enough back support (its' just the folded up console/armrest) for government safety requirements. Otherwise, this is a really great truck. I would definitely buy it again, but wish I had more money for a supercab.
