Great crossover for the money with leather interior, dash appointments and other upgrades. We needed a vehicle that was better on gas but still had that SUV feel. This Taurus X has been a pleasant surprise for our 5 person family.

The Taurus X is not a very flashy car but is solid, spacious, comfortable and reliable and offers an absolutely incredible value. Good power, reasonable fuel economy (I average about 20 mpg) and spacious passenger & cargo areas are big "pros". The only "cons" for me would be lack of tech features, quality of interior materials and resale value (it is a Ford...). I really have the urge to get another vehicle but it's very difficult to justify the difference in cost!
Great car for the money

The Ford Taurus X is a hidden gem. It is spacious, comfortable and gets better gas mileage than comparable vehicles. It handles well and drives more like a car than a truck. It is easy to get in and out of the third row, and we like how the third row seats lay down flat. The 60/40 split second row seats are great and very happy with the Eddie Bauer interior.
The Ford F-150, the top-searched vehicle on carmax.com in 2017, has a heck-raising version called the SVT Raptor. Love it or not, the Ford Raptor is impossible to ignore. It rules the road (and dirt, mud, sand, etc.)!

Many drivers who want a best crossover seek out one of the popular vehicles on this list. Why the big deal about a crossover SUV? It’s the solid mix of roomy interior and a smaller size that fits in plenty of parking spaces.
