Transmission: Automatic Color:Red Interior Color: Gray Average Vehicle Review: (4.5 reviews) The Taurus is proof that having a family doesn't mean you have to have a minivan or SUV. This car is roomy, comfortable, has a massive trunk, is one of the safest cars in crash tests, and still drives like a car. It's powerful enough to get up to speed with a proper shove and handles well. Fuel economy is, well, not the best, but it's better than most SUVs and crossovers, and for the size, comfort, and capability, it's a fair trade.

It's subtle and unassuming until you feel one of the turbos kick over then the v6 roars to life. For a person who wants performance but also has a family, this is trule the end all to be all.

Oh yeah!

Started out shopping for the Fusion, but saw this car and immediately decided it would be my 60th birthday present to me. Had it a month and a half and it's been a dream to drive. Comfort? I'm a big guy (6'2", 250 lbs) and it's nice and roomy. Driver side feels like a cockpit. Everything's handy, especially the trunk release. I'll nit pick about the ignition switch position because my keys hang down and my knee presses against them, but it's not a real problem. Tried and loved the passenger side comfort. Backseat is roomy and comfortable despite what I read about rear headroom. Performance? Ride is quite smooth. It handles well for a large, heavy car. Great pickup for passing and expressway entering. Quality? As an American car/Ford man I expected quality and got it. Everything's tight and nothing, especially in the interior is flimsy or thin. Never drove a Mercedes or Audi but I'm very satisfied with the quality for the price. Appearance? Love passing windows so I can look at it. Love seeing them on the road, especially since I don't see many. Value for the Money? I'm happy as a dog with two bones. You won't go wrong if you chose this horse.

Chrome trim

Good car. Gets about 23 mph mix hwy and city. Very comfortable and has some pickup when getting on hwy. Problem is with the chrome peeling around tailights. Every 2010 Taurus I have looked at has the same exact problem. Ford will replace if still under bumper to bumper warranty, but they replace them with the same faulty tailight assembly. Ford will not replace them once out of warranty. I am on my second set of tailights and the chrome is peeling again. What a shame that Ford hasn't fixed the root cause of this problem and still stocks these faulty tailight assemblies. Really detracts from an otherwise nice car.
