Great remote start, heated and air conditioned seats. Needed new battery, (stranded my wife and mother-in-law) and key fob. (Fixed for free and a free oil change thrown in.) Dealer damaged (chipped upper edge in 3 places) driver's window with their key lockbox device, its an eyesore that I wish I'd have had them fix..

Transmission: Automatic Color:White Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.737 reviews) The Taurus is proof that having a family doesn't mean you have to have a minivan or SUV. This car is roomy, comfortable, has a massive trunk, is one of the safest cars in crash tests, and still drives like a car. It's powerful enough to get up to speed with a proper shove and handles well. Fuel economy is, well, not the best, but it's better than most SUVs and crossovers, and for the size, comfort, and capability, it's a fair trade.

It's subtle and unassuming until you feel one of the turbos kick over then the v6 roars to life. For a person who wants performance but also has a family, this is trule the end all to be all.

Reviews for Ford Taurus

Overall Rating

4.5 out of 5(312 reviews)

European type handling

Nearly 300hp V6, 27-30mpg Hwy. Zero Torque Steer under heavy acceleration. Ridiculously Fast. Interior, Jag-like. Taurus Chassis is Volvo, Ford Styling and Drivetrains. Smoothest Automatic Transmission of Any car I've driven. Its also TIPTRONIC equipped.

Chrome trim

Good car. Gets about 23 mph mix hwy and city. Very comfortable and has some pickup when getting on hwy. Problem is with the chrome peeling around tailights. Every 2010 Taurus I have looked at has the same exact problem. Ford will replace if still under bumper to bumper warranty, but they replace them with the same faulty tailight assembly. Ford will not replace them once out of warranty. I am on my second set of tailights and the chrome is peeling again. What a shame that Ford hasn't fixed the root cause of this problem and still stocks these faulty tailight assemblies. Really detracts from an otherwise nice car.

- Damage, 2010 Ford Taurus

Really beautiful car.

Gas mileage is my first complaint. I drove a Mercury Marquis for the last 14 years (a 2001 and a 2007) they both got much better mileage than this Taurus. The Taurus is really hard to see out of. I am 5'9 and my husband is 6'2" both of us complain about the difficulty seeing out of it. The back seat head rests block visibility. The rear end sits so high that even with the back up camera I have found that it sometimes does "see" obstacles like steep embankments. The front end blocks visibility when going over a steep drop (we live in a mountainous area) so these 2 may be specific problems to the terrain we live in.
