Got the GMC Acadia because of the 2nd row bucket seats and roomy 3rd row. I have 3 young boys and they need to be able to get in and out of the 3rd row easily. The 2nd row bucket seats allow them to get in and move around without any trouble. The 3rd row is roomy enough for adults and you don't feel like you are cramped in the vehicle even when carrying 7 people.
The vehicle is sporty and has good pick up and is a great looking ride. I like to think of it as my sporty minivan without it actually being a minivan. I can still carry all 3 kids and their stuff to sporting events and practices.
Only negative would be the gas mileage. I average about 14 mpg city, but have gotten as good as 22 mpg on the highway.
I would definitely recommend this vehicle.

The GMC Acadia we purchased is awesome when it comes to comfort and design. We took it to the beach this year and had no problems with five children inside with two adults. Plenty of room with the quad seats and the DVD system kept the kids out of our hair. :)
The only fault is one of the key fobs quit working almost immediately after we purchased the vehicle. Carmax in our area doesn't have a full-time mechanic who is available to program these either. Looks like I will have to pay for this myself. Other than this, the car is great.
Vehicles with third-row seating have plenty of features for nearly every type of driver. For families that need a great family-friendly vehicle, SUVs, crossovers, and minivans with third-row seats give passengers roomy interiors and still have enough power to haul plenty of vacation equipment or moving supplies.
Some of the best compact SUVs today are efficient, with good power and handy features like a turbocharged engine, all-wheel drive, and even third-row seats. Check out this top 10 list, based on CarMax sales data from January 1, 2017, through December 31, 2017.
