Great Ride for Active Dad

Got the GMC Acadia because of the 2nd row bucket seats and roomy 3rd row. I have 3 young boys and they need to be able to get in and out of the 3rd row easily. The 2nd row bucket seats allow them to get in and move around without any trouble. The 3rd row is roomy enough for adults and you don't feel like you are cramped in the vehicle even when carrying 7 people. The vehicle is sporty and has good pick up and is a great looking ride. I like to think of it as my sporty minivan without it actually being a minivan. I can still carry all 3 kids and their stuff to sporting events and practices. Only negative would be the gas mileage. I average about 14 mpg city, but have gotten as good as 22 mpg on the highway. I would definitely recommend this vehicle.

2010 Acadia

This is the second GMC Acadia I have owned and I have been very pleased with both vehicles. For someone who need the carrying capacity, the Acadia is an excellent choice.

Love the GMC Acadia - No Regrets!

Has comparable room to a mini van or larger SUV, yet you don't feel (or look) like you're driving a bus. Ample space in back cargo area even with third row up (easy fold down, btw). Sturdy, powerful, stylish, loads of standard features. On our model (SLT AWD) ... the DVD player/screen (with or without included wireless earphones) is wonderful, love the dual sunroofs, like that the back-up camera view is displayed in the left side of the rear view mirror. Great family car. We needed a third row but did not want second row seats we had to fold and unfold all the time to access the back row (with carseats or not!). The Acadia comes with the option of two captain's chairs in the second row, so permanent easy access to the back row - deal maker for us. Lovely! We did not want a white car, but fell in love with the "pearl" toned white (GMC calls it white diamond) one we wound up buying for all the reasons and more mentioned above, that the color was insignificant. Only drawback is not the best gas mileage, but not the worst for its class either - you know this when you are in the market for a non-hybrid crossover/SUV. All around, so glad we purchased this car. We also looked at 2011 and 2012 models and could not tell much difference from the 2010 we chose.
