Even with the third row up, there is still plenty of room for strollers, backpacks, and any other gear you might need. Most third row vehicles only provide a few inches between the third row and back door. But not the Acadia

My son plays football--he is over 6 feet and 300 lbs--and we needed a vehicle with room for him, family and friends. Plus, we wanted awd, a movie player for our 10 year old and solid navigation for trips. Our vehicle has that and more. It rides like a dream, looks great, is well built, and handles fine in the snow and ice. We are constantly being told how nice our vehicle is by complete strangers. This adds to the fun of ownership. I have been told by several people that the smoothness of the ride is amazing for such a large vehicle. Before purchasing the Acadia/Denali, we test drove a Jeep, Lexus, Mercedes, Buick, Land Cruiser, and a few others. The GMC won.

Love My Acadia!!

A dream to drive. Very comfortable and good visibility with the adjustable seat and steering wheel. Back up camera already paid for itself. It stopped me from backing up when pedestrians were walking by.

Great buy

First GMC we've owned, I'd heard they're quite strongly built. So far I'd agree, this Acadia is mechanically solid. For being as large as it is, its quite nimble. Two weeks after purchasing it we had our first emergency situation, driver in front of us had to avoid an "invisible" ladder at freeway speed. While he jammed on the brakes and swerved erratically nearly getting his pickup sideways on two wheels, our Acadia handled the situation with no problem,no excessive pitch or roll, very solid. The power plant is a little lacking at times and if you use more than 1/4 throttle you'll never see advertised mileage. The 6 speed transmission shifts smoothly, nearly impossible to feel at times. Cabin noise is very low, even at freeway speed. The Bose sound system is good, though being an audiophile I really expected more from Bose. Also the audio systems USB port will slow charge your devices, but it only works with Apple devices or flash drive type devices for music play. You can use internet radio or the like with your Apple devices, not Android. Also, Bluetooth only has phone function, sadly not audio pairing for music. The triple zone climate control is cute, but dysfunctional. Subtle differences in temp are easy to control, but more than a few degrees and the system begins fighting for control over zone temp settings. The seating and accommodations are very nice, recent 2,000 mile road trip tested that and passed with flying colors. Plenty of cup holders and places to store your goods. I'm 6'4" and sitting anywhere was comfortable, though the 3rd row I wouldn't sit there for extended trips. Overall cargo capacity is excellent. One area I wasn't impressed with was the interior plastic trim as its easily removed or broken. Also, though the seats are said to be leather they feel plastic, almost vinyl. All in all I'm very pleased with this car.

Wonderful car and a great experience

We have 2 kids that will grow to be very tall and this is the vehicle that they can spread out in and have plenty of leg room
