Great car for a family without sacrificing storage space

I have two kids under two and this car is perfect for the two carseat life. The captains/bucket seats in the middle row are perfect for rear and front facing car seats and I can store all kiddie must-haves in the space between seats. One thing I was worried about was moving up from a MPV to a SUV but in this car I don't feel like I'm driving anything any bigger. When the third seat is flat I have more than enough room for luggage or groceries, and when it's up I can fit 2 more adults in my car easily

fresh car needed

The Acadia is a little more then I wanted to spend on a used car but the one I got seemed to have been well cared for. The car is comfortable and feels luxurious. The DVD player is great for when waiting on kids, or long trips. Storage is OK but not what I had in my pickup truck. Also when you put down the back seat for additional room the items you put in the back can slide up to the front. The gas mileage is poor but I don't drive much. Very common appearance so I often can't find it in a parking lot. If you want to blend in, this is the car for you.

Love my Acadia

I have wanted an Acadia for years. I had a Tahoe for 7 years and it did well for my family but I wanted something with more passenger room and a narrower wheel base, the Tahoe was just too big. The Acadia fit all my needs and looks great. We shopped for many weeks and tried many different models and brands until we decided that the Acadia was what we needed. While we could have spent less on the Traverse, I didn't like the styling; and The Mazda CX-9 was just not comfortable; the other options didn't have the passenger space and luxury options I was looking for. The Acadia fit all my requirements. Going from a V8 to a V6 has been a big adjustment for me, I am still wanting more power, but I am sure that as time goes on i will get used to it. With winter approaching I will see how it is to transition from 4WD to FWD, I did not get the AWD option, we have 4WD truck, so we felt that AWD was not needed. The navigation is not very user friendly, you can only use controls when the vehicle is not moving. I understand that this is a safety feature, but maybe if it was updated so that if there was someone in the passenger seat then the controls could be used, that would be better. The car is smart enough to know to turn the airbag on when someone is in the passenger seat, so this is not an unrealistic request. All in all, I highly recommend the Acadia for the family looking for comfort, luxury and passenger space.
