We loved the styling of the Acadia since it first came out in 2007. It is a very sharp looking vehicle, inside and out. However, GMC has failed to provide what I consider acceptable quality parts and craftsmanship. If you really love this vehicle, do some research before you commit. Don't be blinded by the styling beauty. Take heed of the criticism on the vehicle's engine, transmission, electrical components, etc. We have had our transmission replaced; the new one is failing. Running out of room so here's the failures: - Transmission - Driver Door Hinge - Left Rear Passenger Door Hinge - Rear Lift Gate - Both Read Door Lock Actuators - Cruise Control YouTube: "Acadia Headlight Replacement", then do "Battery". Good Luck!
This vehicle has room for (8). It is the perfect family vehicle. My son plays football--he is over 6 feet and 300 lbs--and we needed a vehicle with room for him, family and friends. Plus, we wanted awd, a movie player for our 10 year old and solid navigation for trips. Our vehicle has that and more. It rides like a dream, looks great, is well built, and handles fine in the snow and ice. We are constantly being told how nice our vehicle is by complete strangers. This adds to the fun of ownership. I have been told by several people that the smoothness of the ride is amazing for such a large vehicle. Before purchasing the Acadia/Denali, we test drove a Jeep, Lexus, Mercedes, Buick, Land Cruiser, and a few others. The GMC won.
It feels secure and it's a comfortable ride. I love the middle captain's chairs because it makes the 3rd row easily accessible and it gives the middle row riders more rooms to relax. The leg room can be a little tight if you have a tall driver, but it's not terrible. Love the heated seats!
