We've had this car for about a year and a half. It's been a very reliable vehicle. Our only trouble with it has been at 60,000 miles the power steering pump went out and we developed a knock in the steering which had us replacing rack and pinion. I don't believe this should be a problem with a vehicle with less than 100K on it, but it was a fleet vehicle before we bought it. I'm not a pro, but I choose to give the vehicle the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe it wasn't cared for as it should have been since it belonged to a fleet. Other than that, the car has been a dream to drive. We've taken it on trips half way across the US, and it's very comfortable. As long as we have no more major problems, I will buy another.
Good family car
2011 GMC AcadiaDavid Townsend - Cross City, FL12/10/2017
I am a family man- have 3 kids. It has the third row option. It seems that all of this model come with a V-6 which the fuel economy is found wanting, however it has the power to get up and moving rather quickly. I have a fwd and no trailer hitch (yet) however, I am sure it will pull a small trailer or U-haul if needed. When the passenger space is not used by my kids, all seats (with the exception of the front passenger seat) can be folded down for cargo. It also features dual Air conditioning. For a family man who isn't ready for the nickname "super-minivan" this crossover isn't a bad option for you.
Great car for a family without sacrificing storage space
2008 GMC AcadiaChelsi - Bryan, TX04/13/2015
I have two kids under two and this car is perfect for the two carseat life. The captains/bucket seats in the middle row are perfect for rear and front facing car seats and I can store all kiddie must-haves in the space between seats. One thing I was worried about was moving up from a MPV to a SUV but in this car I don't feel like I'm driving anything any bigger. When the third seat is flat I have more than enough room for luggage or groceries, and when it's up I can fit 2 more adults in my car easily
Vehicles with third-row seating have plenty of features for nearly every type of driver. For families that need a great family-friendly vehicle, SUVs, crossovers, and minivans with third-row seats give passengers roomy interiors and still have enough power to haul plenty of vacation equipment or moving supplies.
