I fought every instinct in my body to purchase this Acadia. I had hoped my mother in law just got a "lemon" with her Acadia but I was wrong. I bought it because my wife and I both like the quad seats that it offers so the children would not have to climb over the second row to get to the third (yes I know the seats fold in the others but no kid will use them.) since I have bought this car I have discovered an oil leak on the front main seal, the sunroof cover "pops" open randomly while driving and the AC vent will not open and close the way it should. I should've spent the extra money and bought the TOYOTA 4Runner!!! Oh well, lesson learned
Good family car
2011 GMC AcadiaDavid Townsend - Cross City, FL12/10/2017
I am a family man- have 3 kids. It has the third row option. It seems that all of this model come with a V-6 which the fuel economy is found wanting, however it has the power to get up and moving rather quickly. I have a fwd and no trailer hitch (yet) however, I am sure it will pull a small trailer or U-haul if needed. When the passenger space is not used by my kids, all seats (with the exception of the front passenger seat) can be folded down for cargo. It also features dual Air conditioning. For a family man who isn't ready for the nickname "super-minivan" this crossover isn't a bad option for you.
Great Styling. Disappointing Quality.
2007 GMC AcadiaFred Miller - Baltimore, MD02/07/2017
We loved the styling of the Acadia since it first came out in 2007. It is a very sharp looking vehicle, inside and out. However, GMC has failed to provide what I consider acceptable quality parts and craftsmanship. If you really love this vehicle, do some research before you commit. Don't be blinded by the styling beauty. Take heed of the criticism on the vehicle's engine, transmission, electrical components, etc. We have had our transmission replaced; the new one is failing.
Running out of room so here's the failures:
- Driver Door Hinge
- Left Rear Passenger Door Hinge
- Rear Lift Gate
- Both Read Door Lock Actuators
- Cruise Control
YouTube: "Acadia Headlight Replacement", then do "Battery".
Vehicles with third-row seating have plenty of features for nearly every type of driver. For families that need a great family-friendly vehicle, SUVs, crossovers, and minivans with third-row seats give passengers roomy interiors and still have enough power to haul plenty of vacation equipment or moving supplies.
Some of the best compact SUVs today are efficient, with good power and handy features like a turbocharged engine, all-wheel drive, and even third-row seats. Check out this top 10 list, based on CarMax sales data from January 1, 2017, through December 31, 2017.
