I bought this vehicle with fairly low expectations and it has been surprisingly enjoyable. It has a very smooth ride, the expected not-so-great mileage for an SUV with 4WD (17/20 if I'm not driving too fast and not in the hills), and pretty good space and amenities for a mid-sized, mid-market SUV. Due to its low ground clearance, I doubt it's much of a true 4WD vehicle, but it it's nice to have the option in bad weather or when towing. My only real complaint is with the seat belts, which are attached to the top of the seat and pull down on my shoulder. Other than that, it's been very nice to drive.

I am really enjoying the new addition to our family - the 2005 GMC Envoy. The only negative comment I have is the terrible gas mileage but I knew that before I bought it. The SUV is very comfortable, stylish and has just enough bells and whistles that make it an "added bonus" to this wonderful vehicle.

I just purchased the 2004 standard base Envoy last month and so far it ia a very good vehicle. It is solid and drives very smooth for an SUV. i get compliments all the time about he looks of the vehicle. I just wich it had more cupholders.
But overall, very good vehilce.
