I wanted a SUV and was looking at the Jeep Grand Cherokee, but my husband is 6'4'' tall and did not fit in the vehicle. We are new parents and I wanted to feel safe driving our daughter. We saw the GMC Envoy and really like the look and I was very happy to see that the cargo space is large enough for the stroller and tons of shopping which most midsize SUV's did not have. We looked at the new GMC Terrain but we opted for the 2006 envoy for cargo space, interior room and comfort. It has a good get up and go, it drives very smooth. Doesn't feel like a truck. Interior is basic but that is fine for me. Only negative is there is a lot of wind noise when driving, but I have the radio on or hear the crying of a newborn - yeah- so it knocks out the wind noise. I am very pleased with this SUV.
They envoy denali I bought is really nice! Definitely a nice buy! It drives smooth and handles pretty ok. Its very nice with the leather seats. I'm not a big fan of how the leather seats don't fold all the way down but its an adjustment I can make due with. The on board system is awesome though with all its info and dashboard messages. I added rims on it for the summer but the tires and wheels are pretty smooth and the TPMS and on star readings are great. Definitely an improvement from my previous Ford in terms of the gadgets and comfort but not it terms of size. But I guess I'm used to the big suv and need more time to adjust to the mid size suv.
I absolutely love my 2007 GMC White Envoy SLT! It rides very nice and the comfort is excellent. The gas mileage is a little low, I am seeing 19 on average, but I guess that is what you would see with any utility vehicle. I highly recommend this vehicle is you have 2 kids and do not want to step up in size - ie Tahoe etc.
