6.6 Turbo diesel Duramax with 6 speed tranny blows a lot of those punks out of the water who think you are an old man slow guy. This thing purrs at 1700 RPM going 75 MPH. It tows my 250 Searay Cabin crusier like it's not there. Love this truck.
Love it! Has most all the accessories. The only accessory that it lacks that I would like is a back-up camera. A truck build for towing should have a back-up camara as a standard feature. After all it has back-up sencers. This truck has hugh power and great acelleration for a desiel. Wow! The best thing is it is so confortable to drive. I have recenty taken two long trips and am very please with its comfort, in the seats and the layout of controls. One of the best features is the intergrated trailer break. Again it should be a standard feature for a truck that is made for towing. An after market would be difficult to locate and be out of the way of the driver and still be accessable. The only other item of comment is the lack of storge spaces in the cab. Less than my last GM truck. I have purchased small nylon tool bags to hold hitch, jumber cables, flares and tow strap/chain and placed under back seat. It all depends on what you like to carry. Again I love it.
If you are looking for the right vehicle to do heavy towing, then the 2500 SLE, crew cab should be at the top of your list. I thought I was just getting a work truck, for towing a 35ft' fifth wheel, instead I've gotten a Luxurious, comfortable, good riding, good looking and an overall Beautiful piece of Art in my 2500 SLE Crew Cab. This Truck is a one of a kind, I think they all have a Personality of it's own. I'm so glad my wife pick this one, it seems as though it was specifically made with me in mind, because it has everything I wanted and expected in a truck and then some! I don't want to seem as though I'm trying to sell you, so I'm through bending your ear, but I've heard " A HINT TO THE WISE IS SUFFICIENT''. The truck will sell itself, I just urge you to check it out for yourself!
