Traded in my 2010 Ford 1/2 ton King Ranch PU for this 2012 3/4 ton PU since I needed the greater towing power for my travel trailer this summer.
I was disappointed with creature comforts of the Denali package compared to the King Ranch, e.g. no streaming of music on my iphone without using aux. input, no concealed step aid to pick up bed, way to little storage areas in the cab for glasses/sunglasses,etc.
Positives: more power, better economy on the highway.
For the money, GM should've thought out the ergonomics much better and priced it accordingly
Beast of a Truck
2007 GMC Sierra 2500Davenky - , 10/21/2013
My son calls it a beast of a truck.
I pull a 9,000lbs camper with it and have had no problems at all; you can't even tell it's there. The towing package with trailing mirrors and built in brake controls are the only way to go, it makes towing a joy and not a hassle. I haven't had the need to try out the 4WD but winter is close so Im sure I will.
The overall handling is also nice and the many extra's it came with just topped off a good work truck
The only negative things would be;
It won't pass up many gas stations, towing about 8 MPG.
The ride is typical of a 3/4 ton, hard on the back.
The brakes are real soft, if that makes sense.
Love it! So far...

We got exactly what we wanted. We were looking for something to pull our travel trailer but something that was comfortable. We found a very gently used truck for a fair price - it even had a nice bed cover.
