I was pleasantly surprised with this Yukon! It was clean, neat and in excellent condition. With the low mileage and almost new inside and outside, it was like getting a new car! The token ride before buying only touched the tip of the quality of the ride this vehicle has! It is smooth, quiet and easy to handle on the road and my wife and my son also remarked about it. Handling is a dream on the highway and in the city. It is responsive in traffic and easy to handle in congestion or on the road. Gas mileage is about as quoted in city and on the road, which was surprising-pleasantly so!
We bought the car primarily for towing and to cart a large dog around with us, which is why we did not select a truck (open beds not good for dogs). While it tows well with out the tow/haul mode on, it does not tow so well with it on, as our previous Yukon did. When you apply breaks with the tow/haul mode turned on, the down shift is hard and sudden which causes the car and horse trailer to jerk. I asked to have this checked and was told it was normal. Fortunately the car has enough power to tow with out the tow/haul mode on. It is comfortable to drive and has plenty of room for "stuff" and the dog. Overall, we are happy with it. We were so happy with our first Yukon (11 year!) that we decided to go with this manufacturer again.
The 1st time a drove a Yukon was when I test drove one. I fell in love with this truck. It was so roomy & spacious. I just love the way this SUV drive. When I first drove I just know it was made for me. I plan on purchasing one SOON. I would recommend anyone to buy this SUV. Thank you for letting me be the first one to give a review on the GMC Yukon.
