Our 2004 Yukon handles and rides great. The extra room it provides was just what our family needed.
We recently dealt with a major ice storm and my wife drove the Yukon and was very confident getting our because of the traction control offered by the Yukon. She commented on how well it did compared to others driving other types of vehicles.
If you are looking for more room and a comfortable ride, I'd suggest test driving a Yukon.

Great vehicle! Comfort, power and a variety of options. I do spend a lot of money on gas but its worth it!

I have only had my GMC Yukon for two months but my family and I love it. The kids have much more room and are no longer fighting about the space. My favorite features is the third row seat, sunroof, and bun warmers. It does consume gas but what do you expect from a V8? I average about $75.00 to fill up the tank which I do bi-weekly as long as I don't leave town. I put modified exhaust on my vehicle (flowmasters dual exhaust) and I love the touch it adds. 22" rims are my next mission. I would recommend this vehicle to large families.
Vehicles with third-row seating have plenty of features for nearly every type of driver. For families that need a great family-friendly vehicle, SUVs, crossovers, and minivans with third-row seats give passengers roomy interiors and still have enough power to haul plenty of vacation equipment or moving supplies.
