Transmission: Automatic Color:White Interior Color: Tan Average Vehicle Review: (4.9 reviews) The 2012 Civic Hybrid is factory-rated at 41 mpg, and that's exactly what I'm getting after five months of use. Handling is much tighter than my Camry. Road noise is not bad for a subcompact. Seats are not very comfortable; driver's seat feels off level, headrests are awkwardly angled, backseat has minimal legroom. Not a lot of horsepower, but hey, it's a hybrid. Braking is excellent. Styling is nicer in newer models, but it's still a good-looking car.

I get about 32 mpg now. Had I known that before purchasing this vehicle, I would have bought a Prius instead.

Excellent Purchase

While this car does not get the exact miles listed, it is still an awesome car. I really love it and it was one of the best purchases I have made. I save so much money on gas and it is really comfortable ride. I spend 1-2 hours in it every day during my commute of 45 miles. It is comfortable, nimble, and surprisingly powerful for such a small car. I have no issues merging into high speed traffic when I need to. All in all, I can't complain about a thing!

Fun to drive and cheap too. Does leave a little to be desired in the "roominess" department, but in exchange for the great gas mileage it's definitely worth it! Trunk is very large, batteries are well hidden and do not interfere with storage space at all. Read the owners manual WELL- this car has alot of quirks that you need to know about, ie; proper way of jumping a dead battery, economy/auto stop, cold weather operation and a lot more.

Pro's and Con's of 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid

Love the XM. Love the Gas Mileage but don't expect 40/45 expect more around 30/35. One major issue with the gay is the ac will stop producing cold air if the car is not in motion. It may be a way to save on gas, but when its 100 degrees outside, you really want the ac to keep blowing cold air. Its pretty good about not getting door dings. I have already had 2 doors hit my car and all it left was a surface scuff and no actual indentation.
