Having done commuting and long road trips I can say without absolute confidence that I love this car. My 2012 Honda Civic EX-L is fuel efficient, sporty, has enough power to get off an exit ramp or into traffic. It has enough storage to fit enough luggage for a beach or camping trip. The stereo sounds great. I'm 6'1" and I have no issues with legroom. My son hasn't complained once about comfort in the back seat while on those long car rides.
Very smooth, I get on average 44+ mpg on the highway. I take trips all the time to NY, NJ, PA, Maine, and VT for races so the fact that my gas mileage is that high definitely saves a lot on gas. Rides very quiet as well, not like an electric car but way quieter than my old 2008 Mazda RX-8
