2010 Honda CR-VJudy Duke - Georgetown, TX11/04/2015
It has plenty of room, is comfortable on long trips, good mileage, etc. The only think I don't like is that it will automatically lock all doors once you reach 4 or 5 miles per hour, which is fine, but it doesn't unlock them once you park and turn off the engine. If you forget, and try to get something out of the back or passenger side, you have to go back and unlock it. Other than that, it's great and I love it!
We use this for travel to Florida from Northern Virginia as well as shorter vacation trips (Rehoboth Beach, Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head, Philadelphia, etc.) and general local travel. It is remarkably roomy and comfortable. Although the motor is "only" a four, I have had not problem getting to eighty mph on the way south and logging 30+ miles per gallon doing it. My model has navigation which means it also has nine speakers and a 300 watt amplifier. The sound is great. The navigation system has been very easy to use and accurate (I did update to the 2016 software). I highly recommend this family vehicle for travelers.
Change to a CRV.
2011 Honda CR-VJoe - Grottoes, VA01/02/2015
I've always driven small, nimble, fairly spartan 5 speeds, but wanted a change. The CRV certainly is a change for me. It feels like a big, strong steel box. The only "luxuries" are the heated leather seats. The CRV has a spartan luxury to it. Big, surefooted, quiet and comfortable. Seats are outstanding, and the higher seating position is a nice change. Even with current $2/gal. gas the mileage is uncomfortable. The computer calculated mpg is always about 2 mpg richer than my actual miles driven divided by gallons needed to refill result. Oddly, my left foot has adjusted effortlessly to being out of work with the automatic transmission. The cargo capacity is fairly amazing. Steering is quite good. It's a nice car and I'm happy with it.
So you’re considering a Honda Accord as your next car. It’s a good choice—the Accord is very highly-regarded in any of its available variants. Plus, it combines good gas mileage with lively performance and plenty of interior space. For those who enjoy the experience of driving, Accords are known for their firm ride, good handling, and responsive steering.
