I PURCHASED THE CAR IN SEPTEMBER 2012. I HAVE ONLY HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE SUN ROOF LEAKING. THE DEALER FIXED THAT IMMEDIATELY. SO FAR, THERE HAVE BEEN NO PERFORMANCE PROBLEMS. I LIKE THE WAY THE CAR LOOKS AND THE WAY IT RUNS. I HOPE IT CONTINUES TO BE MAINTENANCE FREE!

I would not recommend this vehicle for the transmission / torque converter issue. This is my 2nd and 12th year with a CRV. Both of my vehicles had the same issue with the tranny & torque converter. The common AC issue has struck with this vehicle - the internet cites that it's an issue with poorly shielded AC parts which overheat and disintegrate the wiring and parts causing the AC to fail. I am also having an issue with oil consumption - no leaks whatsoever - but it "uses" a quart every 2000 miles. Honda / Mechanics may tell you that this is normal - I disagree. This is the first car I've ever had that I had to check the oil in that didn't have a leak. The locks are 100 % manual and it's wired for electronic. but wait - There's more.......

This car has been a great little all round town car. It handles well and parking is a dream. Not so comfortable on the highway as it has a lot of road noise and seem light weight.
I am a little disappointed in the 20mpg in town for a 4 cylinder. I would prefer a lift back instead of the door style rear door. Also it is a very bumpy ride, but there is plenty of head room and the front seats are comfortable. I removed the head rests on the back seats as they blocked my vison and I seldom have anyone riding in the back anyway. Cargo space is great for a small SUV.
So you’re considering a Honda Accord as your next car. It’s a good choice—the Accord is very highly-regarded in any of its available variants. Plus, it combines good gas mileage with lively performance and plenty of interior space. For those who enjoy the experience of driving, Accords are known for their firm ride, good handling, and responsive steering.
