This is an incredible little vehicle. I've been driving mine since 2013, and it hasn't failed me yet! So far, the only service it's needed has been:
-Wheel bearing replacements
-Minor recall changes
It has great pickup for a 4-cylinder vehicle (especially with the sport mode - great for passing and climbing hills). It gets at least 30 mpg, no matter where I'm driving. I've gotten 40 mpg on highways. Steering and gas are very sensitive. It's safe, durable, and it looks like a cute little spaceship.
The biggest issue is the cabin noise - it's not super insulated, and you're low to the ground. Other than that, I've had no complaints about my baby in the last four years. :)
This car suited my needs perfectly. I needed a fuel efficient car that was also fun to drive. I liked the configuration of the cargo space for when I transport my bike inside the vehicle.
I used to drive an Acura Integra GS-R, and while this has no where near the power, it does feel like it shares "DNA". It is "zippy" and handles great. However it does feel under-powered and twitchy on the interstates.
During the winter I mount Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2s all around (I bought an extra set of wheels) and with those on the car it handles great in the snow. Almost more fun to drive in the snow than the AWD Outback I traded in.
Honda Fit is compact and efficient, serving as a solid in-between cars kind of car ideal for crowded tight cities/urban areas or a good car for a college student. Smaller gas tank and good fuel efficiency will allow you to save money at the pumps. The Fit has surprisingly generous indoor spacing achieved through multiple seat adjustments and configurations. With 4-D you can also bring folks along for a ride.
