It's an efficient car and, with the hathback and laying down the seats, can carry a lot of stuff. The Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) System takes a little getting used to, but is kinda neat. It's comfortable for a small person and probably feasible for a mid-sized person; I would not recommend it to a tall person, though; there simply isn't enough leg room.
The gas mileage for me is consistently 43-45 mpg. Mine has the navigation and Bluetooth. It took me a while to figure all of the gadgets out but now that I have I love them. The ride on the highway and through town is a bit bumpy. I do still struggle with finding my "comfort" spot while driving as I feel like I have to constantly do corrections with the steering. For a small car I guess that is all normal I am just not use to it. The cargo space in the rear is adequate. Overall I am extremely happy with my insight and I do recommend it. The savings in gas each week for me is amazing. I was spending $80 per week in gas at a minimum and now I spend $32 per week!
I'd had my heart set on a Prius, but the Insight edged in instead. It's a little zippier on the road than the Prius, even though the estimated mileage isn't as good. I haven't been able to log the estimated 40/45 MPG -- never getting above 38 -- but I've been running the A/C. For a small car, it has a lot of cargo room with the back seats down. I can load my mother's wheelchair with ease through the hatchback. All in all, I'm very happy with the Insight.
