After owing several mid-size and large SUVs, I don't know why I never purchased a minivan before. This vehicle beats any SUV out there, both in comfort and gas mileage. Not to mention the room in the trunk on our van, unless you buy a Suburban or an Expedition L, SUVs just don't have the trunk space of minivans with the 3rd seat up.
Placing a rear-facing car seat on the middle row is a breeze. We no longer have to reach high as we did on our full-size SUV to put the car seat on its base. Cruising on the roads is very smooth and not truck-like as most SUVs out there. Forget the line "Soccer-Mom Car", if you have 2 or more children, this is the vehicle for you. We had a Yukon Denali before the Odyssey and we don't miss it at all, specially at the gas pump.
This is a fantastic van; Honda has the reputation for building quality cars which is lacking in American cars...and I wanted something that would last more than the warranty (unlike American cars which are not well built and don't seem to last very long). Over the past 45 years, I've owned many types of cars, both domestic and foreign. I wanted quality and durability. My son and my sister both have Honda Odyssey vans; my son also has a Honda CR-V. I purchased a new Honda CR-V in 2009 and it is wonderful but I needed just a little more space when travelling and camping. With my prior knowledge of the Odyssey, this was a no brainer! Granted, the price for this EX-L model with leather interior is a bit high and gas mileage is only about 25 highway BUT the luxury AND the dependability of the van is well known and it has a highly favorable tradition in its history. This is the ONLY van that I would recommend! The Honda CR-V is the ONLY SUV that I would recommend. AND HONDA is the ONLY car company that I would recommend. I know it sounds biased in my opinion but all you have to do is look at the research AND customer satisfaction and you will see that the Honda Odyssey is the best selling, best equipped, and longest running van on the market.

I love my new car, very comfortable , lots of space and storage for a mom of 2 boys, age 4 and 2. I will recommend it to my friends. I love the features of ECO for fuel economy, the DVD and the garage door opener.
With crossovers and SUVs attempting to steal the spotlight these days, minivans had to step up their game to remain competitive in the family-mover market. Both the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna rose to the occasion by offering an ideal combination of performance, comfort, and features modern drivers want.
Vehicles with third-row seating have plenty of features for nearly every type of driver. For families that need a great family-friendly vehicle, SUVs, crossovers, and minivans with third-row seats give passengers roomy interiors and still have enough power to haul plenty of vacation equipment or moving supplies.
