Over the past 45 years, I've owned many types of cars, both domestic and foreign. I wanted quality and durability. My son and my sister both have Honda Odyssey vans; my son also has a Honda CR-V. I purchased a new Honda CR-V in 2009 and it is wonderful but I needed just a little more space when travelling and camping. With my prior knowledge of the Odyssey, this was a no brainer! Granted, the price for this EX-L model with leather interior is a bit high and gas mileage is only about 25 highway BUT the luxury AND the dependability of the van is well known and it has a highly favorable tradition in its history. This is the ONLY van that I would recommend! The Honda CR-V is the ONLY SUV that I would recommend. AND HONDA is the ONLY car company that I would recommend. I know it sounds biased in my opinion but all you have to do is look at the research AND customer satisfaction and you will see that the Honda Odyssey is the best selling, best equipped, and longest running van on the market.

We already knew that Honda produces quality vehicles, but we were impressed with the luxury and the comfort of the larger vehicle.

Awesome!

We went to go see a VW Routan (the boys were loving the double overhead screen, but instead end up getting an 09 Odyssey, and it was meant to be. It just so happen that there was one available at that time at a very reasonable price with low mileage (21K). The ride is pretty much incomparable to the other vans I had and test drived before as far as smoothness and precision. We are definitely enjoying the space and comfort (leather) with heated and adjustable seats. The rear camera that is viewable in your front mirror -how awesome is that. We are loving it and was very happy to go with the Odyssey even if the price was a little more than the Routan. It was definitely well worth it. As far as the salesman, he was very pleasant to deal with and was upfront and honest about the deal that we got into.

Great car

The Honda Odyssey has been a great car. Lots of room and runs great. The super navigation / XM / hands free is sort of a let down. Can't read the titles on XM and all of our phones will not work with the Honda's bluetooth.

Crummy doors

The automatic doors are continuously getting stuck. In really cold weather the doors jam.
