Not Your Parents' Minivan
We have had our Odyssey for about 5,000 miles since purchase. We needed something that can take 8 passengers and is easy to drive, as it is my wife's everyday vehicle. We are very happy with it. It drives like a dream, is very comfortable, spacious, and easy on gas for its size. We didn't need leather/electronics/navigation/etc., but couldn't pass up powered sliding doors or 8-way adjustable front seat (I am 6'0", my wife is 5'2"), so the EX trim model does just what we need.
Pros
- Fuel Economy: Great mileage for such a big vehicle!
- Interior Space: Easily fits three car seats in the middle row and plenty of room for cargo
- Styling: Finally! A minivan that actually appeals to the eye!
You won't regret choosing a Honda Odessey!
You know how sometimes you want something really badly for a long time and when you finally get it, it's not so great as you imagined it would be? This has definitely NOT been the case with this vehicle! I love it, my spouse loves it, my children love it! If I had it to do all over again, I would make the same choice. I can't recommend this vehicle highly enough!
Pros
- Ride and Handling: I don't feel like I am driving a giant vehicle. It handles beautifully!
- Cargo Space: I love the third row of seats that you can fold down into the floor for great cargo space.
- Technology and Entertainment: The sliding power doors are awesome! Walking out to the van with an armload of stuff and three kids and being able to just push a remote button to open the doors makes my life easier. The DVD system that allows you to use wireless headphones for the kids also nice.
Cons
- Fuel Economy: I would love to be able to get more than 28 MPG on the interstate but recognize that this is still much better than most vehicles this size.
