Great size! Not too big... not too small -- just right! Holds 8 passengers (tweens-teens plus adults) comfortably. Good on gas mileage. Recommend leather interior over cloth (especially if you have kids or pets). I previously had an Expedition and knew I wanted something a bit smaller without giving up the room. The Pilot offers lots of interior space with better than expected gas mileage!
This vehicle has served my family for 13 years. We've made more trips to FL for spring break than I care to remember. I do relate to the lack of cargo space other reviewers speak of, with two daughters a luggage rack topper and/or a trailer hitch platform was required, but that was only to provide each kid with a entire row of seating to eliminate fighting. I actually installed the tow package myself, as I did with the cross bars for the roof rack. Saved lots of money that way. The trailer hitch came in handy when moving the kids to Purdue dorms and back again. Oh the stories this vehicle could tell. 230,000 miles an no major issues, just maintenance of timing belts every 90k miles.
I bought my 2009, in July 2008. It was something that we had been waiting for years. Spacious, good style and re;liability of Honda which I have experienced since 1977. I still feels as I just bought it. No repairs, except one time changing the brakes. Even the tires look very good. Used it for travel with 8 people and everyone was comfortable. There is nothing wrong with this car. In fact, I want to buy a new one for myself since my wife is using this most of the time. However, I don't like the new one since it is smaller and not as good looking. Pro - Reliable, spacious, versatile, gas mileage, smooth ride and handling and looks Con - My wife loves it so much that she is using most of the time
