Used 2008 Hummer for Sale
Reviews for Hummer
Not a great vehicle
I owned it for 3 months and had to get rid of it, it was becoming too much of a problem. It was in the shop for 2.5 of those three months I owned it. The sunroof repeatedly leaked and was repeatedly repaired. The drainage issue also caused water to get inside the vehicle constantly and left aweful odors. The engine light came on for a temp sensor, needed an alignment, brakes and rotors right away, the ignition had to be replaced as it left me stranded several times due to passlock failure, the windshield wipers would intermittently work or not work. The last straw was more electrical issues. The blower motor would intermittently work, all tue lights kept turning off and on, the door locks would lock and unlock themselves, ecu went bad.
More or Less
I've wanted the Hummer H3 since it's first appearance in early/mid 2000's. For whatever reasons, that notion was abandoned, until recently. My SLK was getting a bit tiresome and as much as I loved that car, it was time to move on. I wanted and needed passenger space and cargo space. So, once again, I opted for an SUV and yes, in this time of bad economy and worst gas prices and mileages. I intended another vehicle, but that particular one, had issues. Then I reacquainted myself with the H3. I read other reviews, did my research and found my vehicle. Yes, there's virtually no pick up, and that's being polite. Gas mileage is NOT great, but not too far off from my last two sportscars. So, I down graded the fuel selection to compensate the lost mileage. Love the handling, the ride, smooth like a luxury car/auto. Love the room, the look, the style, very "military-user friendly". Only real issues, going into this particular H3, the parking brake and/or the sensors, is not functioning as it should. I think, it's not releasing itself, when disengaged. I hope this is an isolated matter and I will soon take it to have it looked at. The antenna is difficult to remove, to take through a car wash. As of date, I've not been able to remove. Aside from that, I do like this vehicle very much.
We had never really considered purchasing an H3, we actually were looking for a Ford Hybrid Escape or Suv of some kind( American made of course). We saw the H3 on the lot it looked pretty sharp! so we decided to test drive it. We love the manuverability, comfort & style, color, low mileage and the price was right! We are extremely happy with our purchase.
