My Hummer was a gift from my husband. I have had a: Jimmy, Blazer, Suzuki, and Explorer(all 4 WD SUV's) and NOTHING compares to this Hummer. It totally rocks. I feel safe and confident on the road in blizzards or rainy down pours. On the highway with the semi's I know I will get home to my family at night. The ride is smooth and the vehicle is well made; nice and solid. With budget cuts in our city, the streets are not cleared of snow until we have several inches. The only thing you will see moving on the roads are...Hummers!! P.S. My insurance is cheaper on my Hummer than it was on the Explorer. Gas mileage was the same.
I've wanted the Hummer H3 since it's first appearance in early/mid 2000's. For whatever reasons, that notion was abandoned, until recently. My SLK was getting a bit tiresome and as much as I loved that car, it was time to move on. I wanted and needed passenger space and cargo space. So, once again, I opted for an SUV and yes, in this time of bad economy and worst gas prices and mileages. I intended another vehicle, but that particular one, had issues. Then I reacquainted myself with the H3. I read other reviews, did my research and found my vehicle. Yes, there's virtually no pick up, and that's being polite. Gas mileage is NOT great, but not too far off from my last two sportscars. So, I down graded the fuel selection to compensate the lost mileage. Love the handling, the ride, smooth like a luxury car/auto. Love the room, the look, the style, very "military-user friendly". Only real issues, going into this particular H3, the parking brake and/or the sensors, is not functioning as it should. I think, it's not releasing itself, when disengaged. I hope this is an isolated matter and I will soon take it to have it looked at. The antenna is difficult to remove, to take through a car wash. As of date, I've not been able to remove. Aside from that, I do like this vehicle very much.
This is a fun vehicle! We've been off-roading and finding spots where most others don't dare to go. Pack a lunch, lots of water, fill up the tank and have an adventure in a Hummer!
