I love the looks of the vehicle. Its sporty and comfortable. I have owned vehicles for 33 years and have never had to have a vehicle towed. I bought this Hummer approximately a month ago. After this vehicle I will never be able to say that again. The "PASSLOCK" anti theft system kicked in for no apparent reason after stopping for gas while on a trip. It could not be reset. After a 60 mile tow to the nearest dealership, an extremely large tow bill and a 16 hour delay we were on our way. The whole system had to be re wired. I have talked to a few Hummer H3 owners and they had the same problem. Now some of the electrical components do not work. Now every time I start the vehicle I hope that it will start. The vehicle shifts hard and is very sluggish from the start. The heated seats turn on at each start. This is very uncomfortable when it is 95 degrees out. I traded in a Chevrolet pick up for the Hummer. I'm thinking this was a mistake.
I bought this Hummer after scouring the market for a few months. I was very impressed with the build quality of this vehicle, it is a tight, well made, solid car. Ride quality is outstanding, shifting is seamless, build quality is flawless. I didn't buy this vehicle for fuel economy, but I have been satisfied with the ratings of 16 city and 19 highway. I am getting virtually the same mileage. Fit and finish on this vehicle is better than I expected, real thought was given to layout and function. I wish Hummer could do a better job of marketing, I believe a vehicle of this quality could still find a market here in the USA.
Bought my 2007 Hummer a few months ago and overall feel good about the vehicle. The Hummer handles very well, it has a tight turning radius which is excellent in those "smaller" parking spaces, and has an almost "sport car" type steering, very quick and responsive. I have used the 4WD in snow and ice twice so far, and to no surprise it was outstanding! There is plenty of room inside, and I consistently carry 4+ people around with no difficulty. I wish the engine had a little more pep, but it is more than sufficient for most families. In all, I would highly suggest the Hummer H3 to those that want an SUV without the traditional SUV look. The Hummer turns heads, I love it!!!
