I bought the Accent because it was a more comfortable ride than it's American counterparts, was more affordable than the other foreign competitors, and it has a great manufacturer's warranty that goes with it. I've taken it on several 5+ hour trips and gets about 36 on the highway. Handles pretty well, but only thing is the 110 horsepower leaves a little something to be desired. I had no problem however navigating the interstates at 70+ speeds. In terms of value it is the best I could find for being a young adult and using the car only for myself and I work in the auto industry so I did a lot of research.
Good Car, Bad Cruise Control

I got this car to replace the 2002 version of the same car.
The premium package has a very nice sound system, and there are controls on the steering wheel for the radio and cruise control. The cloth seats feel good and the children have no trouble falling asleep in the backseats. Also, the keychain locks and unlocks the doors. There are lights on the mirrors in the visors, overhead "map lights" and the regular dome light. Counting the bottle holders in the doors, the cupholders in the front, and the cupholders in the backseat's armrest, there are 8 places to hold a drink.
With this car, I feel like I had almost all of the features of more expensive cars for a much lower price. It's a very pleasing car.
I feel like this car's engine has plenty of power for a car this size. I also like how it's not possible to accidentally leave the lights on and kill the battery. If I'm inside and I try to open the driver's door while it's locked, it will unlock. If I try to lock the doors while the keys are in the ignition, they will unlock. If I use the remote to unlock the doors and nobody gets in, they re-lock. This problem makes it hard to accidentally do things you don't want to do.
My only major complaint is the cruise control is ridiculous. The way it's set up will cause the engine to use higher RPM, causing you to use more gas with cruise control on than with it off. This has to be the only car on the planet in which cruise control kills your gas mileage. If you're on a highway doing 70 MPH with cruise control, your engine will be over 3000 RPM the whole time. So 4 stars for performance because of the cruise control. But everything else seems good.

The car is great and its good on gas. I only fill up once a week to go to work for the whole week. To park the car is great too because you don't need big space.
