I've had my 2011 Hyundai Accent for just over a month, now, and am very pleased at the great gas mileage I'm getting compared to the small truck I was driving. I'm not a mechanic, but I've noticed the car reacts very quickly (not sure why that is) when trying to avoid a pot hole, an inattentive driver, etc. and has very good pickup when trying to get onto the freeway from an on-ramp. I love having electronic windows and locks because my truck did not have those. Because I'm short, I love having the sun visor extension in the afternoon while driving home. The trunk is massive & the back seat folds down to allow for really large items to be transported. There are possibly two negatives (if you want to call them negatives) and that is that this little car does not seem to hug the road when you're driving on an off-ramp with a sharp curve, so you really have to slow it down, but that's probably the smarter thing to do anyway! The other thing is it's a small car and sits very low, so I wonder sometimes if people driving SUVs and semi-trucks see me! Makes me want to put one of those flags on my bumper like kids put on their bicycles! :) I would recommend this car to anyone. I love mine!
Small, agile car for a small family. I had been driving something much bigger and less reliable. The Accent is compact but totally meets our needs. It gets good gas mileage, and still has enough interior space to take 3 adults on a 3 day camping trip.
