Great for running around town

This car is great for running around town and doing errands. It's great in traffic and you can park it, literally, anywhere. You can fit quite a lot in the hatchback with the rear seats down. It gets good gas mileage, but whoever thought a 10 gallon gas tank was a good idea should be stripped and dragged naked through the engineering offices at Hyundai so all may behold their shame. For its size the car is roomy enough inside and driving it is like having a gocart that goes highway speeds. The road noise and vibration are a definite negative. Aside from that it's a zippy little car that provides basic transportation at a reasonable cost. If all you need is a car to buzz around town car that the kids will inherit some day, this is a great choice. If you have to drive long distances on a regular basis or carry more than two people and a dog in the back seat, you'll want to look at a bigger car.

Good Car, Bad Cruise Control

I got this car to replace the 2002 version of the same car. The premium package has a very nice sound system, and there are controls on the steering wheel for the radio and cruise control. The cloth seats feel good and the children have no trouble falling asleep in the backseats. Also, the keychain locks and unlocks the doors. There are lights on the mirrors in the visors, overhead "map lights" and the regular dome light. Counting the bottle holders in the doors, the cupholders in the front, and the cupholders in the backseat's armrest, there are 8 places to hold a drink. With this car, I feel like I had almost all of the features of more expensive cars for a much lower price. It's a very pleasing car. I feel like this car's engine has plenty of power for a car this size. I also like how it's not possible to accidentally leave the lights on and kill the battery. If I'm inside and I try to open the driver's door while it's locked, it will unlock. If I try to lock the doors while the keys are in the ignition, they will unlock. If I use the remote to unlock the doors and nobody gets in, they re-lock. This problem makes it hard to accidentally do things you don't want to do. My only major complaint is the cruise control is ridiculous. The way it's set up will cause the engine to use higher RPM, causing you to use more gas with cruise control on than with it off. This has to be the only car on the planet in which cruise control kills your gas mileage. If you're on a highway doing 70 MPH with cruise control, your engine will be over 3000 RPM the whole time. So 4 stars for performance because of the cruise control. But everything else seems good.
