Good , with reservations

The car has a nice interior design, drives well and seems to be reliable. But 2 major things are the reason I hope to trade it in this summer: Seriously, the gas tank is WAY too small. I can never get more than 12 gal at at time in it. Not great for long trips. Secondly, It's very hard to see out of the back and the camera lens is not that great. If you put lots of stuff in the back, you cannot see at all out the back window. Side back windows too small. I honestly don't know what Hyundai was thinking with this one.

average car at higher price

I mentioned to the salesperson that the tires were worn without much tread. I had to purchase 4 new tires and was told that the tires were the original ! THEY WERE 10 YEARS OLD. According to the tire salesperson they should have been replaced years ago. The car had 0ver 60000 miles. Would you put 10 yrs old tires on your car?

Still happy with my choice

Drives well, good price point, reasonable MPG. My previous three cars were Honda Accord (11 years), Mercedes 190e (1 year), and Lexus RX 300 (10 years). We purchased a Sonata in 2014 and that great experience led us to the Santa Fe. We have owned the 2011 Santa Fe for 5 months so far and still love it.
