Customer Review Summary for 2006 Hyundai Elantra
Love it! Great Value
2006 Hyundai ElantraTexas Guy - Galveston, TX11/27/2008
I love this car, it is a great value. I am a large guy (6'4") and thought I would not be able to fit in this cute little car but I love the headroom. The car is considered a compact on the outside, but mid size on the inside. Four adults, four large suitcases all fit in this car comfortable, though the suitcases were a little cramp for a two hour trip.
This car zips in and out of traffic with ease and can handle the Hill Country of Texas like no other 4 cylinder I have driven.
Fuel economy is great and a small tank is cheap to fill. On average I get about 31 MPG with 80% city driving and 20% highway driving. Though I get about 27 in 100% city driving.
My only complaint with this car is its interior, the fabric seats feel a little cheap, but that is a minor detail compared to its price.
The original sound system was somewhat basic, but the speakers are good quality and I upgraded the receiver and I am good shape now.
Overall I love this car and the price is hard to beat. If you are looking for a good used car with an outstanding warranty then look no further.
I love my car. Hyuandis are affordable alternatives (reliability, good gas mileage, etc.) to Toyotas/Camrys . My Elantra was purchased at a fair price (below Kelly Bluebook value) and has low mileage. My only complaint is that the underside of the front end of the car will scrape the pavement, unless I back out of the driveway very slowly.
Wheels are certainly liberating!
