2006 Hyundai ElantraPurrpleladybug - Las Vegas, NV07/05/2008
My car was totaled, and I had to buy something without a lot of time to make a decision. I've had my 2006 Elantra for a little over a month now and am thrilled with the gas mileage, the performance, the comfort and the amenities this car offers (I do miss my sunroof, though). It has more than adequate space in the passenger area and the trunk. It handles very well. I changed from a sports car to a sedan (same make), and the sedan has better pick up, better visibility and is easier to handle. I have no complaints and love my new car!
I love my car. Hyuandis are affordable alternatives (reliability, good gas mileage, etc.) to Toyotas/Camrys . My Elantra was purchased at a fair price (below Kelly Bluebook value) and has low mileage. My only complaint is that the underside of the front end of the car will scrape the pavement, unless I back out of the driveway very slowly.
Wheels are certainly liberating!
After totalling my previous car, my husband & I went looking for another car ... I needed good economical transportation to get back & forth to work (150 miles per week).
Never in my wildest dreams did I think that the very first car we looked at was "the one!" The salesman was super; answering all our questions by giving us honest answers.
I am so very happy with this car! Although it's a 5 sp. manual transmission, it's fun to drive. The car has many "bells & whistles" for the money. Should I decide later on to get a newer car, it'll be another Hyundai.
