straight hyundai review

We were looking for a good value, safe car for our teenage daughter. She wanted a car that "looked good" but that was really secondary to us. The safety features that Hyundai packs into this car are amazing, and for the length of time that we've had it, we are amazed at the comfort, quality of the ride, economy and overall satisfaction that we have enjoyed. It is extremely peppy, very responsive, and just a joy to drive. I highly recommend this car, and will seriously consider buying a Hyundai for myself next time I replace my own vehicle!

I knew it was out there!

Due to the number of miles I drive for a job in the field, I was looking for a car that would get me great mileage, at the best value. I found that most reviews of vehicles boasting this feature indicated that the car's actual mileage wasn't near what was advertised. This is not the case with this car! I consistently get 30-33 mpg, driving a combo of city/hwy. The manual transmission gives me the feel of having as much power during exceleration as my previous SUV did, which was a V6. The car drives great, and is comfortable, and I was able to get all of my desired features, which I wouldn't have been able to afford on some of the other brands that aren't rating as high- but are priced higher. I was concerned when switching from an SUV to a sedan that my child would complain of the difference in room in the backseat, but actually, unless I was keeping her in the trunk of the SUV, the Elantra's leg room isn't that much smaller! I've been driving my car for a few months now, and the ONLY thing I've found that I don't care for, which is minor, is a function of the automatic windows. You are not able to control the driver's window when the window's are locked (which mine always are due to small hands that are constantly playing in the backseat). You must unlock the windows to control your own. For the comfort and value, I'll take that "flaw."

Loving my car!!!

So far, I haven't had any problems with my Elantra. I purchased my 2008 Hyundai Elantra with approximately 16,900 miles. It drives very smooth and it looks great inside and out. The trunk is very roomy and the rear seating area is also roomy. I love the blue lights featured inside interior. The one complain I have is it has no get up and go.But once it does go, it's smooth sailing. Nevertheless, overall it's an excellent vehicle.
