Great Car for the Money
We've had the car for approximately 3-months now and we still think it was a good investment. So far it is getting around 30-mpg around the city and even more out on the highway (when you use the cruise control and don't have a heavy foot like my husband). It also performed well when we have taken it up to the mountains. There was no need to jump out and push it :) like other small cars during a long climb. It is a very comfortable ride especially for my husband who is 6'3" - he had plenty of head and leg room! It doesn't feel or sound like a "small" car out on the highway. When the windows are closed there is minimal road noise. I love how roomy it is and there is plenty of trunk space for lots of stuff. I would recommend you give this car a try!
great car for the pricepoint
I have owned my Elantra Touring for about 18 months now. I stepped down from a Lexus 350, so that took some getting used to! I wanted a car that was a LOT less expensive, got great gas mileage, was reliable, could cart all my design stuff, and looked great. For my needs, I have been very satisfied. I mostly drive it around town and like the way it handles-easy to maneuver, quite decent mileage though not what was promised (I get 22 in town/ 26 hwy) I got the tan interior with sport fabric seats which are easy to clean and look great- front seats are very comfortable, back is fine for short trips and short people but not for long road trips. I am less pleased with the car when I have to drive long distances on the highway-it seems loud and the acceleration is not great. I am starting to get some rattling on passenger door. Of all the economy cars I looked at I thought the styling was the nicest-it has a very upscale European look. I got roof rails and am glad I did. Best thing I did was get them to throw in a 10 yr /100k warranty-they also gave me free oil changes for life. How can you pass up such low cost maintenance?! Overall an excellent smart choice.
Value for Money
2010 Elantra is a great vehicle, if you want to use it on a daily basis for about 30-40 miles of running. Mileage is great around 24MPG in City limits and 27MPG on highways. It completes all the requirements from a Compact Car. Space is not a concern at all. There is ample space to store small things and boot is also quite good. Engine Noise is also very minimal as compared to Sentra or Corolla while gearing it from 0-40Mph. Takes around 4-5 seconds to reach that which is good considering the engine capacity. Gives the feeling of a sedan at the back having all the features. It would be a great buy if you are aiming for the compact car and trust me hyundai cars are no less than Toyotas and Nissans if for the same thing you are planning to pay a higher price just for the brand name.
