My car is perfect for a young professional on the go. The quality of the car and the great gas mileage makes it affordable but also makes you feel like you made a smart choice. I enjoy the car for it's standard features but it does have a level of class as well.
I've owned this car for one year now, and have had no major problems. I've put almost 20k miles on since I bought it. Routine oil changes and a transmission flush are basically all I've had to do, oh and new tires. I think I had to replace a couple belts recently too. Handles well enough in the snow with standard all-season tires. There isn't a lot of passenger room - two adults up front and a teenager in back is pretty crowded, but most of the time it's just me and the small children in car seats, and two car seats work okay. I definitely wouldn't want to try 3 though. I mostly use the car for commuting to work and it's great, good gas mileage (33 mpg average, mostly highway).
I bought this car three years ago and it's been a great change from my '91 Buick Century. I considered other compacts but landed on the Hyundai for its gas mileage, low cost of maintenance, great manufacturer's warranty and modern styling. It has nice amenities for even the basic trim and gets good gas mileage (not as advertised by still superior) for the class. I've done regular maintenance every 3k miles and only had one issue so far that was taken care of by the manufacturer. If you're looking for a commuter vehicle or just a daily driver this is a great vehicle. The space is great for the compact class as well, I play in a band and can move all of my equipment in the backseat/trunk with a passenger very comfortably.
