It is a 4 cylinder so it doesn't eat gas crazily, and actually gets stellar gas mileage. Yet, it has an overhead engine, and is therefore capable of climbing to speed insanely quickly for a car of it's caliber. It's beautiful and extremely comfortable for anyone who sits in any seat. It's great for long trips with the best cruise control I've ever had on any car. It can make calls with the Bluetooth (which I adore) and the interior is gorgeous. My only complaint is the exterior white color, but that is easily fixable. Overall, best. Car. Ever.
Great Reliable Transportation

Runs great, decent mileage, looks nice, plenty of cargo room. My only complaint is that the driver side window stopped working, and needs a whole new internal assembly, a $400 repair. This shouldn't happen on a 6 year old car. However, the car itself is great. It's really like a small SUV, as it sits higher than a Civic, but not quite as high as a Honda CRV. The gas mileage achieved is usually about 26 mpg, not great, but not bad. On longer trips, slightly more than 30 mpg can be achieved. It's worthwhile to note that this car is heavier than the Elantra sedan, which accounts for lower gas mileage. Fantastic car, very happy with it, no issues.
Really like this car

This is not a perfect car but it is a great value for commuting. It has a surprising amount of space for its size, both interior and cargo, and handles pretty well. I wouldn't want to have 4 adults and luggage in there for a long road trip, but packing around the family is no problem. It's a little light on power but I still can maintain highway speed going uphill. So far (~10,000 miles since I've had it, almost 60,000 overall) it has been reliable, no repairs needed. It's reasonably fun to drive and I get 34-35mpg (regular fuel) on the highway. Biggest downside is technology - the radio is bad and the speakers are average at best. No temperature reading (engine, cabin or outside) and no separate controls for anything for passengers.
Despite their smaller size, these compact cars pack lots of power and plenty of enjoyable features for drivers and passengers alike. Check out this list of our best ranked small and compact cars, based on CarMax sales data from January 1, 2018 through April 30, 2018.
