Used 2009 Hyundai Elantra Touring for Sale
Reviews for 2009 Hyundai Elantra
Happy with Elantra
I got exactly what I was looking for with the Elantra and am grateful to Carmax for listening to my needs and requirements (unlike the traditional car dealership I went to first which was a frustrating experience). I wanted a well built car with great safety features and exceptional gas mileage without the expense of a hybrid. I also wanted a great price. After driving the car alot for two weeks, I finally had to fill up the tank. Though the car is listed as 25 mpg city and 33 mpg highway, my combo city & highway driving gave 36.63 mpg! I'm amazed. There are many times it seems like the gas gauge doesn't even move during a trip. The car is beautiful on the outside and looks nicer than most equivalent competitor models. The interior is very basic though it does have XM radio and iPhone plug in. I wish the interior was more beautiful but I'm not complaining - this was the trade-off for the price plus everything works well and is easy to find and use. This is my first Hyundai and if it continues to perform well, I'll eventually trade this one in for a newer Hyundai model instead of the expensive to maintain European luxury cars that I've had in the past. I'm very happy with the Elantra and Carmax and look forward to doing business with both companies again.
Just what a college girl needs :)
What is there to not love about this car? It has a sleek design that allows seeing very good with limited blind spots. I love the fact that it takes a small amount of moneyto fill up then it drives 350 miles. Overall, great gas mileage, LOTS of room in the trunk and car, sleek design, and drives very nice.
Nice for the price :)
We bought this vehicle on June 30 of this year. I was immediately impressed by how the vehicle looks and handles. Had my mechanic inspect the vehicle, and for having had 31,000 miles on it, it was still in fantastic shape. We've since driven it back and forth to San Antonio (200 mile round trip) a couple olf times, and to Waco and back (300 mile round trip) once. Planning on a trip to Houston later. The car's given us not even the slightest hint of a problem so far. One small caveat: occasionally the trunk will open up without any apparent signal to do so. Not sure why that's happening, but that appears to be fairly common among the Elantras. We'll address it when/if it becomes bothersome.
This price does not include tax, title, and tags. Additional fees may also apply depending on the state of purchase.
