Used 2012 Genesis Hyundai R-Spec for Sale
Reviews for Hyundai
Great price/quality ratio
I've owned a lot of cars (5 BMWs, 2 Audis, a Mercedes, a Porsche, and a bunch of miscellaneous ones like classic Mustangs and old Mini rally cars). When I switched businesses from TV production (lots of car commercials) to real estate, I needed to go with something big enough for several people comfortably that wouldn't have crazy maintenance costs (bye, Mercedes), and wasn't so crazy expensive with the amount of driving I do (25k per year, so leasing was out, and the depreciation on a new BMW was out of the question with that much driving. Hence trying out the Genesis. Great value. Zippy. Comfy. The only mistake I made was no getting one with the technology package, since the rear is high enough that I'd like it to have a backup camera.
An excellent buy
This model was highly rated by several sources and so far the car has performed well. Hyundai gives one far more features per dollar than almost any other brand. I got more than expected (like heated seats front and rear) and it looks great!. The base 4 cyl. engine doesn't have the grunt I am accustomed to, but is not embarrassing. The only problems so far are (1) that the trunk lids sometimes opens on its own - still trying to solve the problem; (2) The front end is too low and it is easy to scrape it..
Like everything except...
The car handles and accelerates well, especially for a hybrid. It is comfortable, and the location of the battery gives more storage room than in some other hybrids. My favorite part, though, is that gas mileage meets or exceeds the posted numbers. It's not that uncommon for me to get to work in the morning (40 miles one way, hence the hybrid) and see gas mileage in the upper 40s. The only thing that could be better is the radio reception, but that just means I spend more time listening to bluetooth audio
