Great Value for Quality

2011 Hyundai Santa Fe Chris - , 08/23/2013

I have no complaints about the quality of the vehicle for the price.

It's More Than I Expected!

2011 Hyundai Santa Fe Ms. Marie - , 03/04/2013

My new Santa Fe is so much more than I expected. It's so much more comfortable than my old car. I keep thinking I just want to stay in it and take a long, long drive. The XM Sattelite trial sounds so good on this sound system and the hands free blue tooth phone is something I never had before. LOVE IT! It's even doing very well on gas! Love it, love it, love it!

Great Car with Great Value!!

2011 Hyundai Santa Fe 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe Man - , 11/08/2013

In March of this year (2013), I finally had to start looking at replacement options for my 2000 Ford Explorer (due to mileage and a failing transmission). Among the top contenders were the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, Toyota 4Runner, and the Hyundai Santa Fe. The Toyota was ruled out due to price and the Honda due to inadequate acceleration for merging with Austin highway traffic. The 2010 Santa Fe I test drove (4 cylinder) had the "pep" and acceleration on par with the 2012 Ford Escape (3.0 liter V6). In addition, the refinement, value, and quality of the Santa Fe was leaps and bounds higher than the Ford. After test driving both the 4 cylinder version (2.4L) and the 3.5L V6 (both engines are only found only in the 2010-2012 year models), I ended up purchasing a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe SE (3.5L V6). Personally, while I loved the pep and power in the 4 cylinder engine, the V6 had the extra power and acceleration that I was used to in my 2000 Ford Explorer for highway merging, etc. On a side note, the Santa Fe V6 feels more powerful and responsive than the Explorer's 4.0L V6. While not a Honda or Toyota (in nameplate), the Santa Fe definitely gives both more established brands a run for their money in value, quality, and refinement (while being much cheaper)!! Some of the main highlights to this vehicle is the smooth ride, easy maneuverability, relatively easy access, very generous storage space, quietness, solid feel, and mechanical refinement. Around town (with little or no highway miles), the Santa Fe usually gets 18-19 MPG. On highway trips, it usually gets between 23-27 MPG (depending on wind velocity and direction, travel conditions, etc.). The other thing that can't be beat is Hyundai's warranty program. Even for the second owner, Hyundai will honor a 6 year/60,000 mile limited powertrain warranty. To the best of my knowledge, no other car manufacturer does this (except possibly for Kia, Hyundai's corporate cousin). For anyone who is looking for a reliable, easy to drive, solid performing vehicle with a reasonable price tag, take a serious look at the Santa Fe!! Hyundai has seriously come a VERY long way in the past 5 years or so! Watch out Toyota and Honda, you've got some serious competition! I'm looking forward to many more years of enjoyable and reliable service from this Santa Fe! I hope this review is helpful to you in your car shopping endeavors!
