2005 Hyundai Santa FeCHARLES RUSSELL - GAITHERSBURG, MD12/17/2015
I mentioned to the salesperson that the tires were worn without much tread. I had to purchase 4 new tires and was told that the tires were the original ! THEY WERE 10 YEARS OLD. According to the tire salesperson they should have been replaced years ago. The car had 0ver 60000 miles. Would you put 10 yrs old tires on your car?
Reliable but a little bumpy!
2009 Hyundai Santa FeJohn Robinson - Cincinnati, OH01/27/2017
Purchased new in 2009 and haven't had to put one penny into it besides normal maintenance expenses. I wish I would have opted for power seats though! Manual seats aren't real comfortable on long trips. Ride is pretty rough, unless it's on smooth highways. Pot holes and small bumps can definitely drain on you over time. We even have the best tires money can buy. Suspension could be much improved but it is an SUV, so I get it. I also wish I would have purchased 4WD. An SUV with 2WD is rather pointless. Not bad in snow but, it's not great. Road noise is more than I'd like but not horrible. Cabin space and back seat comfort is good. Always drips oil from drain plug. New washers never help. Expect constant black spots where you park.
Still happy with my choice
2011 Hyundai Santa FeChris C - Raleigh, NC06/22/2015
Drives well, good price point, reasonable MPG.
My previous three cars were Honda Accord (11 years), Mercedes 190e (1 year), and Lexus RX 300 (10 years).
We purchased a Sonata in 2014 and that great experience led us to the Santa Fe.
We have owned the 2011 Santa Fe for 5 months so far and still love it.
Some of the best compact SUVs today are efficient, with good power and handy features like a turbocharged engine, all-wheel drive, and even third-row seats. Check out this top 10 list, based on CarMax sales data from January 1, 2017, through December 31, 2017.
