2002 Hyundai Santa Fe

2002 Hyundai Santa Fe robwa - Sugar Land, TX 10/07/2008

The 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe was the first car I ever bought brand new. I did meticulous research on the mid-size SUV market, and after test driving a few vehicles, the Santa Fe won me over. In the 6 years since purchasing it, I have not regretted the decision one bit. The first thing that strikes you about the 2002 model is the styling. The exaggerated curves remind you of a muscle car. Hyundai has since toned down this feature, and I think the car line has suffered some publicity because of it. The second thing that's notable is the amount of space inside. At the time, it had the most cubic feet of storage space in its class, handily beating the Ford Escape and the Jeep Liberty, which came out later. I cannot believe the amount of STUFF I have hauled around in my Santa Fe. I have fit an an entire couch inside it, for example. It just has a ton of room. The ride is still great; the fuel economy isn't bad, and for the most part, the car has held up extremely well. The only repairs I've had to make were the air conditioner - but I live in Texas, where "Air Conditioning" and "Windows Down" are our two seasons. The 2002-era Santa Fe had and still has a devoted, almost cult-like following. Many people have "modded" theirs with a computer-hacker ethos I found to be indicative of the passion "Santy" owners have for their SUV's. We liked our Santa Fe so much that we bought a Hyundai Elantra as well (new) and that's a great car too.

Super Santa fe

2009 Hyundai Santa Fe Sagekat - Nashville, TN 06/13/2011

I knew very little about this car before I went shopping for a practical but fun family vehicle. We test drove many cars! As an afterthought we asked to test the Santa Fe. My cousin has had one for about 5 years, her husband liked it so much he just bought one last year too - so there must be something to this car right? So we gave it a spin. It totally impressed us. It has a powerful 6 cylinder engine, visibility is wonderful and it feels very luxurious inside. We made a very quick decision after test driving it. When we brought it home and told friends and neighbors we only got positive feedback. "Heard it is a great ride" "The safety rating is really high" "These Hyundais have come a long way". So I am even more confident and content in my decision to make it our family car. Have a blast driving yours!

Thanks Hyundai

2004 Hyundai Santa Fe Beth - Tennessee 10/07/2008

I love my new Santa Fe, just wish it could get the same milage as my Honda...but it is worth the extra budgeting There is so much room, the all-wheel drive is awesome, its a fun SUV, and is plenty big for the 4 of us, plus 3 dogs.
