Transmission: Automatic Color:Black Interior Color: Gray Average Vehicle Review: (4.75 reviews) Purchased new in 2009 and haven't had to put one penny into it besides normal maintenance expenses. I wish I would have opted for power seats though! Manual seats aren't real comfortable on long trips. Ride is pretty rough, unless it's on smooth highways. Pot holes and small bumps can definitely drain on you over time. We even have the best tires money can buy. Suspension could be much improved but it is an SUV, so I get it. I also wish I would have purchased 4WD. An SUV with 2WD is rather pointless. Not bad in snow but, it's not great. Road noise is more than I'd like but not horrible. Cabin space and back seat comfort is good. Always drips oil from drain plug. New washers never help. Expect constant black spots where you park.

Stylish and roomy SantaFe Sport gets decent gas mileage.

The SantaFe "Sport" model is stylish, modern and sporty looking. Because I am a tall man, I needed a car with extra head and leg room--this car has both. Even though, I haven't taken any highway trips yet, but around the city and freeway travel, I'm getting 26mpg average. The 2 best things about this car--keyless entry and backup camera. I recommend both for anyone buying any car. The worst thing about this car is the very stiff suspension--the ride is terribly hard (you feel EVERY road crack and pothole).

Love the SantaFe

Our Red 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe was totaled in a wreck. Both my wife and I loved the car because it had been so trouble free and absolutely gorgeous. We looked for another red Santa Fe on the internet to replace it and found one at CarMax. We purchased it and the updates (i.e. side airbags) and ultra smooth operation on the 2011 Santa Fe so impressed us that we also replaced our 2008 Subaru Impreza with a white 2011 Santa Fe. We are so pleased that we now have cars that we both feel safe and comfortable in.
